Hi, I have another probably weird question here:
You know those more sturdy cardboard sleeves for some box-sets right? For release such as 'The Godfather', well, the UK-version or in this case 'The Ultimate Matrix Collection'. Well, a lot of times the front and sometimes also the back sides are caved in. Like they run hollow towards the inside. Is this normal or is this "damage" because of pressure from something else? I was thinking it might also be because of the sealant being tight around it, but I have my doubts... This isn't always the case though, sometimes another copy of the same release might look better. But I'm not sure which occurs most... Anyway, will this pull straight again eventually or can I do this myself or is it just... as it is now?... |

My Matrix box is perfect, guess the ones you've seen were squished during shipping or somethin.
Not related, but one thing that bugs me about regular blu-ray cases is that they warp when exposed to the heat. The mailbox in my neighborhood is in the open, no shade. So when my blu's came in the mail this summer, they sat in a metal mailbox out in the 100*+ heat. And the front of the cases were often slightly warped and bowed in |

Dam... should I ask them for a replacement?
Cause it looks kind of bad initially, but it might occur often, which I'm not sure of. The thing is though, I got it from Amazon US of course, but I live in The Netherlands. So, it would probably cost a lot, seeing the postal fees on our side. And while Amazon usually pays the shipping-costs they might not do that if it's a lot. I don't know though... I'll just ask them once again. Amazon is a nice store with the prices and services, but I've had to babysit them for about each order now. There's usually at least one damaged item per order. I usually just let it go for cracked CD-boxes and such, but I can usually not repair/replace damaged cardboard packaging. Now I don't know if it's from items lying around in warehouses or traveling long distances, whether that's from lying around, going around warehouses or shipping, or that the employees just hate foreigners. XD But yeah, it's becoming kind of ridiculous... By the way, if anyone wants a photo to see what I mean, just say so and I'll make it. Last edited by Damage Inc.; 11-04-2009 at 02:21 PM. |
