Default Do Old Blu-ray Covers Annoy You?

I've noticed after shooping for various BD a distinct difference between certain Blu Ray covers. There are those few titles that have that silver thing on the side of them to try and show that they are high definition. I'm wondering if covers like these ones annoy the hell out of you?

I don't know about you but they're so cheesy looking imo. Any thoughts?

No, I don't have packaging OCD. My blu-rays spend their life spine outward.

Well, I don't have any aversion to the artwork style you mentioned, though i think it'd seem rather weak if every studio just switched out the poster art on the same template. Originality still needs to count for something, y'know?

I like to use some markers to make my own cover art on those cases.

I don't mind them at all. they used to annoy me, but not anymore. The only one I own is The Prestige and it kind of fits in with the art.

LOL, no. I watch the film, not the cover, which you can't see anyway unless you pull it from the shelf.

You mean like this?

I have this exact DVD cover btw, lol

I do get annoyed when they use the exact same cover of a 10 year old DVD, that silver lining is annoying too but not as annoying as Universal's menu layout with a screensaver that comes on after 5min of pausing

they don't bother me much, it was a while ago, they probably weren't sure if it was going to catch on so they crapped up their artwork

what does bother me is not having a menu, i got Harry Potter 1-5 and the movie just plays automatically. the only menu is a popup menu that comes up during the movie if you push the menu button. i don't know how often that's happened or if it's just those movies, but that bothers me more

Rocky II-V are the worst. They're not even real menus (nor do they even say the name of the movie) & you can only see one chapter selection at a time which has an incredibly tiny screencap of it so its nearly impossible to tell what part it is

Animated menus sometimes annoy me too because it takes so long for the animation to end before you can do anything

It annoys me a little bit because when I look through my collection and see those I just think early release on the format. It also takes up to much of the cover and I would rather see more movie artwork.
