Quote:
A news explosion you say? Well, AFM is only two weeks away and companies are looking to sell some of their projects before shooting even begins. This is only the beginning. We caught wind of a new thriller starring Val Kilmer entitled Mr. Nobody, which is directed by Michael Oblowitz. On a dark Christmas Eve in a small town, the lone Sheriffs on the night shift encounter a mysterious man who goes by the name of Mr. Nobody. As the night progresses, the Sheriffs discover that this isn't just a nobody, but a vengeful killer whose past threatens to haunt them all.
Looks very interesting to say the least. I'll watch it.

I saw The Thaw. I thought it crappy. He supposedly had a film out yesterday with Cuba Gooding Jr. I believe it was called Hardwire or something like that.

Wow, both in the same movie?! Too bad that Hollywood lost the need for awesome actors like these 2

Thumbs up

Hit up the movie Felon. Val Kilmer does an awesome job in it. My personal favorite Val Kilmer movie is The Salton Sea (waaaay underrated flick!). If you haven't seen that, then there's something wrong with you.

+1 !!!

Heat came out on Blu this week too, he's great in that... my all-time favorite, cheesy though it may be... is Top-Secret... no idea how he managed to keep such a straight face in most of those scenes.

Anyhoo, this movie looks interesting, have to give it a shot.

Val is just straight to video actor this days. In fact, I just rented a new straight to video release on Tuesday with Kilmer and Cuba Gooding Jr. Both of their careers have taken a big dive.

Oh of course Heat to, which I think is his best "big movie" acting performance (sorry Doors fans), but I just listed a couple more obscure movies by him. Top Secret is still hilarious.

It's good, not spectacular, but worth a watch.
Val has always been a odd guy, I don't know if he pis*ed studios off, but I think he got tired of Hollywood and started doing smaller independent pictures. I think time passed and new blood came into the spotlight of Hollywood, and as we know they latch onto someone and produce 10 films with that actor that all come out within 2 years. Ben Assfleck anyone.
It's unfortunate because Val is a great actor, but I think it's a matter of time until we see him in a big budget film, I don't think Hollywood will ever have him in a lead role again, but who knows.
Wouldn't be suprised if he does a CSI: Montana tv show though.

Yea, he really fell hard. I really enjoyed his early comedies of Top Secret and Real Genius. He went from big time movies like Top Gun/Doors/Tombstone to straight to dvd's. I was never a huge fan but thought he did good work.

If I remember correctly, that was the one where he played the biggest porn star to come out of Ohio, no pun intended, John Holmes. I thought it was an okay flick to be honest. I saw it on IFC about a year or two back.

I can tell you that when I saw the trailer for Mr. Nobody, my ass jumped back in fear. I was like, "Val Kilmer GOT BIG!" I was like; "I don't think he can be Batman anymore."

Back during Heat and The Saint I thought he was ok, but based on his acting career lately....sounds appropriately titled.

Yea..I just dissed a Batman...but I'm pretty sure I could outrun this run...

Thanks

LOL, good one. I feel the same way about Christian Slater, his career is on the same track.
