Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 NEW Downloaded characters not working properly? - Blu-ray Forum

Hey not sure if i'm the ONLY one this is happening to but i've been trying to use MAGNETO after downloading that full new character pack. I'm using him with cable, psylocke & Black Panther, with a NEW PS3 SLIM 120 GIG. Everytime i try to use the FUSION powers, it FREEZES/LOCKS and the only way to get out of the screen is to turn off the ps3 power. I reboot it, try a fusion again while using magneto and still always freezes. I then swaped and tried it with psylocke and it froze with her as well.

N E 1 ELSE heard of this? I beat the game 4 times already and this never happened until i downloaded the magneto pack. I just finished beating it with JUGGERNAUT after downloading/paying for him and with him it never froze so i'm thinking it has something to do with that new 4 character pack they just released.... ANYONE!!

Who do u call when u download games online but it doesn't work like its supposed? I know it won't be sony right?

U think there is something wrong with the DOWNLOAD content or the PS3 since it's freezing when i do the fusions?

Ok i've been playing it since i posted this HOURS ago. It seems ONLY when ur using Magneto or ANY of the new characters in that new character pack download, anytime u r using fusion, it freezes the screen and locks it down. I can't even reset the thing from the controller, I have to get up and walk all the way to the ps3 slim and turn it off, then wait and turn it on and start from scratch.

Anyone heard of this issue? Is it that the ram in the ps3 slim is bad? I just bought that last month. Thanks

Have you checked out the MUA2 site/forums at all? Just a suggestion as you seem to be drawing a blank over here. I don't have the game BTW.

hey first off sorry for your troubles man. I have a weird glitch with Critter Crunch where it locks up when I play online against someone.

regardless, as for the MUA2 pack. for reference I got it and got all but 2 of the new trophies with no problems. I know I did at least 2 or 3 fusions with the new characters. I know I used psylocke and someone, and and carnage with someone. not sure what to tell you.

did you try deleting the dlc and reinstalling it? it may have been something hiccuped while dling/installing.

I didn't know i can delete and reinstall it. U get like 2 or 3 free downloads of the same thing right? Then that's it? I would hate to waste it especially since i tend to buy ps3's every year after they make one full year. I used magneto, psylocke, cable and black panther.....using magneto exclusively and every time and i mean EVERY TIME i use one of his fusions, it freezes and locks everything. I hope it's not my hard drive cause this ps3 has about a month only. I was going to call sony but i doubt they would be able to help me.

Anyone knows who eve handles issues when it comes to the downloaded content cause there is no phone number given under help for that.

Yeah i checked the forums but no one says anything about lockout/freezing up when using magneto.

NOT only that but the list is wrong as far as using magneto with others to get a bonus upgrade...it doesn't work.

I have no clue what is happening, but other then the freezes, are the new characters worth the cost? Also what boards do you get? From what I understand it sounds like they are only sims. Is that right? Are they worth the cost?

I'm debating picking up the DLC, but for $10 it better be very good because I've bought entire games for that price.

I starting having this freezing problem as well, this weekend. I did one fusion with Magneto successfully, but everytime I've tried since then it locks up the system. I haven't tried looking for a solution yet.

I don't have the DLC, but did have some freezing while grinding the fusions for the trophy. I don't believe I have had the issue since I updated the firmware to the latest though. I have the original version of the console.
