Exclamation How to stop the bd vs Hd war.

Well, I've seen the pricing structure. About $500 for HD-dvd and over $1000 for Bluray players.

As someone who has worked in retail I know what people buy. Most people just want the cheapest of what does it for them. The only rub here is the risk of becoming obsolete. Then having that stupid after market support to support the "loser" with movies in that format.

In order to win, blu-ray has to move fast to sign "exclusive" contracts with the major retailers to only sell blu-ray players. Sure, it might cause law suits, but meanwhile...by the time they settle that hash, the standard is set.

Not a perfect plan, but HD-dvd is too small a player and scoffed at Sony for trying to wave the white flag. This is war.
