Default Home Depot speaker wire

Is it any good? I'm assuming so, but I wanted to ask the people who know what they're doing before I went ahead started spending money

I think it is good. I bought the regular 14 gauge wire they had. You can check my gallery to see how it looks.

I'm just hoping that the quality of it is on par with what monoprice has. I bought monoprice wire but used all of it and now i'm doing my setup a little differently and I need a little more and don't feel like waiting .

Copper is copper. As long as you have a good size gauge like #14 it'll be fine.

I have the 12 gauge generic Home Depot speaker wires inside the walls in my HT room. The builder put them there. They work fine and the sound is excellent. I have also used the generic 16-18 gauge lamp cords (the white ones) from Home Depot in my bedroom set in the past and they worked fine.

I used the 12 gauge Phillps brand from Lowe's for nearly a year and they worked very well. You shouldn't have any issues as long as you go with a decent size (gauge). 12 or 14 I would suggest.

Hey Fred!

How are you buddy? Seems like we haven't crossed paths in a long time! Things are good with me and getting back to normal after a few crazy weeks. Looking forward to seeing you around again!

Hi John! Same here. Dropped out of sight for a few days, (mostly work related). Trying to get out to a record fair this morning but I wake up to a horrible fog bank. I need to cross a 25 mile wide lake to get to New Orleans and the bridge is fogged in!

Hi Fred,

I hope you get to the fair and find a lot of good vinyl in excellent condition for a good price.

Rich

Hopefully you'll get there a little later, as I know how you like the record fairs. Much like me, in fact! I have one next week by invitation only (only 6 of us are invited). Local charity and they have about 30,000 pieces of vinyl. I should be able to manage and pick up a few nice LP's.

John

Hi Rich!

Thanks. I'll make it for sure, but I had wanted to get there early to scoop up the best stuff. Just hoping the fog clears by noon.
