I was so close to buy the HD version on Amazon last month and probably would have gotten it later this month so this is most fortuitous. MGM has quite a few titles I want, but nice to see this one for now.

My fiancee and I love this movie, and have it on DVD. Not at that price though. I'll wait until it drops to around ten bucks or so.

I'd rather see this released than a lot of other garbage and rehashes. Plenty of movies (like this) that have yet to see the light of day. How many times can they release Rocky? This is one of our favorites. The cast and the music are great. I don't care about the price; I plan to get this before Valentine's Day whether the price drops or not.

I think at this point, if an HD master exists, it will be licensed from MGM/Fox for cheap and released by--take your pick: Kino, Olive, Twilight Time, Shout Factory.

According to Olive's site, all the bonus materials from MGM's DVD are being ported over, which still makes this an easy upgrade despite not coming from MGM.

Pre-ordered this from Deep Discount with their 15% off sale. Got this and Jean de Florette/ Manon of the Spring two pack for $30.67 shipped. Plus another $1.09 back in Ebates. Not bad for about $14.88 each.

Cant wait to get this. As you mentioned, the bonus material is being ported over (which is not much). This has one of the better audio commentaries on a movie (IMO). Bonnie Hunt and Don Lake (co-writer) give good info on how the movie came together, the low budget make-up used in the beginning and such. One of the few commentaries I've actually enjoyed all the way through. Next week can't get here fast enough (I know I sound sappy waiting for this little movie, but who cares; one of my favorites).

I adored this movie so I'm certainly delighted to be able to pick it up on blu ray. One of my favourite romantic comedies. The old guys were a delight as well.

Review is up! Not bad, though I wouldn't give high marks on the extras (same as the old DVD, but added the trailer). My copy should arrive today, but I think I'm waiting for Valentine's Day.

Even if you go by genre, this isn't a 5 out of 5 and that's coming from someone who really enjoyed the film, actually saw it in a theater and will pick up the bd.

Finally caved. Me and the wife watched it last night. Even though the video has some issues (some dirt and scratches noticeable), most of it looks good. Definitely an upgrade over the DVD and well worth it IMO. Glad I bought it and no regrets.
