Verisilicon, DTS to Proliferate DTS-HD Audio Technologies
Jul 20, 2007 18:10
Nikkei Electronics Asia

VersiSilicon Holdings Co Ltd and DTS Inc have entered an agreement where Verisilicon will offer DTS technologies for both Blu-ray disc and HD DVD applications.

Under the agreement, Verisilicon offers its licensable processor platform solution together with DTS audio technologies to customers seeking to develop Blu-ray/HD DVD silicon solutions. As these next-generation formats set new standards in terms of video and audio quality, development complexity is significantly increased compared to previous generation DVD players.
Another SOC solution for DTS. I don't know what it means for the timeline of DTS HDMA player.

I can't wait. Even if the PS3 can't be updated, I want this to come to market ASAP.
