Neither, rent both watch them and then decide if they are worth adding to your collection of movies.

Good answer. I'm surprised by how many people don't consider this option.

didn't see Street Kings, but Rescue Dawn is a decent movie IMO, and has AWESOME PQ! The vietnamese jungle pops right out of your TV! I'm sure you know the basic premise: john mccain type story, with bale taken as a vietnamese POW. its not a masterpiece by any means, but a solid 3.5/5 stars and the PQ/AQ is great.

Two very different genres. Vietnam in the Vietnam War Vs Streets of LA in Present. Bale wins though.

I would say rent then decide but if you are like me and don't rent movies at all, I would go with Street Kings. This was a blind buy for me and I have no regrets.

Agree on this, BUT....

my opinion: Rescue Dawn is an incredibly well told movie with exceptional performances. Street Kings isn't even worth renting IMO. A folly of a movie.

I'd say Street Kings. I thought the first half of Rescue Dawn was pretty lame, and the second half only marginally better. I enjoyed Street Kings quite a bit, though.

I say rent. The quality of Rescue Dawn is amazing when you look at the jungle. Feels like you're actually in the jungle filming. The reason the film is such a joy to watch is the great success story of Dieter and Christian Bale's dedicated performance.

I'd say rent because I know some people wouldn't watch it again. Street Kings suck.

Rescue Dawn if only because Wal*Mart often carries it at $10.

Rescue Dawn is ten times the film that Street Kings is. Rescue Dawn is a great film that I cannot recommend enough that you add to your Blu-ray library. Quite frankly, Street Kings isn't a very good movie.
