Default I need some help please.

OK, I've done my research and searching before asking these questions.

First of all, I originally was looking for LCD's (Sharp, LG, Samsung). My roommate just bought a Samsung LED.

I came to the conclusion that all LCD's in my price range were great LCD's, but everyone and their mother had some major gripe about every single one.

I discovered this site and saw the loyalty that plasma owners have and there seem to be a lot less variables in choosing a plasma.

My questions are...

How is football on a plasma?

How are DVDs and Blu Rays on plasma? (I've never actually seen blu ray)

How is the color in comparison to an LCD?

I have read that the burning problem is not as bas as before, and that there is a burn in process?

Do plasmas get dead pixels?

Does only 60Hz stack up to 120 Hz in an LCD?

I think, assuming I go with a plasma, my choice is a Panasonic P42G10. I have read reviews everywhere including here and I can get it at Newegg for $760

Oh yea, can it be mounted on a stand? And will it accept cable input? I'll keep searching as I await some answers

I want something that will last at least 5 years...

Thanks
