Do you prefer white meat or dark meat on your poultry?

Yeah, I know, it's a strange topic.

Anyway, I'm having some BBQ chicken right now from Joey's Smokin' BBQ, and it's really good. Problem is, it's breast, and it's white meat, and it's a bit dry.

I've always preferred dark meat, but most places charge more for white meat, which I find weird.

So what do you prefer?

EDIT: Since it's November, let's extend this to turkey and other poultry, too. My preference doesn't change.

I prefer white meat. Unless of course it's dry, then dark of course. I don't really have a preference though and as long as it's properly prepared, I'll eat both.

I prefer to eat dark meat. White meat on a chicken and turkey seems too dry for me unless I have an ass load of gravy. However, if I'm eating duck, white is just as good as dark.

Another vote for dark meat because of the reason stated: it tends to be dry (no amount of flavour injector use will change that). White meat has a grainier texture on the tongue than dark meat, which isn't particularly palpable to me unless it's coated with gravy; even then, I'll always go with dark as a first option.

the key to having moist meat is to NOT poke any holes in the meat while prepping it, cooking it or flipping it

ALWAYS COOK ON A LOW HEAT......slow cook = the best cook
putting the flame on high = you burn the meat and it tastes like a tire

if you want even more moisture then put aluminum foil around the meat, though this will take a lot longer to cook.

i love bbq'ing on the grill.
