Hi i'am about to buy the following.
Reciever - Onkyo TX-SR507 for £249.99
Speakers -Jamo A102HCS5 5.1 for £224.00
Both from Exceptional-AV.co.uk i only have a budget of £500 my point is this a good buy or does any one thing they can do better for my budget any help greatful.

im not certain about how the currency is over there in scotland, nor the comparison point for cost of living.

i do have one question in mind tho, have you auditioned the jamos yet? most of the time we end up advising a number of newcomers, and fail to address that what matters, what sounds good to my ears, may be different from others.

- do a little research on how people see jamos, their considerable counterparts provided by other speaker companies, then list them for research.
- audition a number speakers on that list, and work from there.

great deals can be had, but ultimately, your ears will judge the sound they produce.

Hi again made up my mind about the reciever going to buy the.
Onkyo TX-SR507 for £249.99 which i think is a Good price for my budget the only thing i'am unsure about is speakers it will be one of the following.
Jamo A102HCS5 5.1 for £224.00
Onkyo SKS-HT528 5.1 for £229.99
does any one here own any of these.

I would take the Jamo speakers over the Onkyos. Jamo is a very good speaker MFG, and one of the largest in Europe. Onkyo makes receivers, NOT speakers. Buy speakers from a speaker company, and receivers from receiver companys.
