Default Headphones WIRELESS? or not? Brand/model?

Hello all!
What would you suggest..?.I will be using the headphones for PS3 gaming and music with my HT. I want to get something with great sound clarity with some bass kick too, thats also comfortable during hours of gaming. Sony, Bose, Skull Candy ? I came across those @ BB but wanted to see if anything else was out there that I could use. I could go wireless/or with...so whatever allows the best sound with no interruptions will be my pick.
Thanks in advance for the help

Corded sounds better. If you do go with cordless, give one of the new Sennheiser wireless cans( RS160, RS170, RS180 ) a try. They use Kleer for transmission instead of Radio Frequencies or Bluetooth. Supposably Kleer transmission makes wireless sound corded .

"FYI, in the past, various transmission methods for wireless headphones have been used. Most either had intolerable interference or dropouts, and bandwidth was too low to allow for higher quality sound. Even the relatively new BlueTooth lacks in sound quality. This new "Kleer" technology is digital and uncompressed and seems to offer sound quality that comes oh so close to corded quality!"

"Wireless headphones. Our emphasis with headphones has been "sound quality". We have auditioned quite a few wireless headphones, but they have a long way to go to catchup to corded headphones in the sound quality area and we are rarely impressed! And reception quality.... don't get us started! Most are bad! FYI, RF wireless headphones, (Radio Frequency), can sound good at some locations, and bad at others. Depends on what radio waves, electronics, or microwaves that may be around your listening location. So what works fine for one person at their house, may not work for you at yours? Frustrating!!! We do realize though many of you have a need for wireless headphones. We were especially impressed with the transmission quality of the xDream by FreeSystems... which used an infrared signal transmitting digital information! Unfortunately the xDream is no longer available. Bluetooth technology has garnered momentum by headphone manufacturers mainly marketing for computer uses. Unfortunately, to an audiophile who is used to the quality of "Corded Headphones," Bluetooth is not quite there sound quality wise. We are excited by the new KLEER™ wireless technology. In fact, the Sleek-Audio in-ears we recommend have a wireless option using this technology and we are impressed. We are hoping the KLEER™ technology will soon show up with normal sized headphones? ****Late 2009 update: Sennheiser has come out with some headphones using the Kleer technology!"

"You might notice the lack of products here for wireless headphones. That's because the standard transmission methods of most wireless headphones just doesn't impress us. Most wireless headphones use Radio Frequencies around the 900 MHz level to transmit and frankly, transmission quality and low bandwidth render the transmission and sound quality of these wireless headphones as annoying to our ears. There are some wireless headphones using the 2.4 GHz RF band for transmission, but transmission quality wise, they still vary quite a bit from one location to another and we were still disappointed with the quality! Some Bluetooth headphones are available, but bandwidth is limited and sound quality is still not quite corded quality. For several years, we were quite happy with a wireless headphone by FreeSystems that used a Digital Infrared transmission. It was quite good, but unfortunately is no longer available.

Enter Kleer: Kleer is a new transmission technology we are excited about. It's digital and goes through walls! We first heard it at CES in early 2009. We since have been stocking and happy with the Sleek In-Ears which has a wireless option using the Kleer technology. And in late 2009 Sennheiser has come out with three headphones using Kleer transmission!"
