Default Sound issues with DTS

So, I sat down to watch UP last night and was all excited and stuff to see the Blu-Ray. Well, my excitement faded faster than seeing Betty White naked when there was no sound.

I don't have a sound system. Really, the sound doesn't do much for me. I'm a visual guy. So, I've got my LG BD-390V and my Philips TV. But the English audio (DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 ES Matrix) gave me nothing. Even the DTS-HD 2.0 track gave me nothing.

Has anyone else had this problem with DTS audio? How do I fix it?

my guess is you are sending Bitstream to the TV, which probably does not decode Dts.

Have you tried setting your BD player to PCM, for Dts related audio?

TVs can't decode DTS. You need to set the player to output PCM or use the analog stereo outputs.
