Scanners TV Series to Blow Your Mind

Dimension Films is eschewing a big screen remake of David Cronenberg's Scanners in favor of a television series based on the property.

Deadline reports it is working with Alex Aja to executive produce the show. The High Tension director may also direct the pilot.

Scanners is something Dimension has been kicking around for a while now, developing a remake with the likes of David Goyer and Darren Lynn Bousman. Deadline says Bob Weinstein and Aja thought it would be best adapt it on the small screen.

Such a big fan of Alex Aja and one of my favorite companies is The Weinstein/Dimension.
