Default The Way Of The Gun (Benecio del Toro, Ryan Phillipe) - 11/24?

The forum admin on TheHDRoom.com just announced this is scheduled to be released on this day. I will buy on day one. The opening scene is in my Top 10 all time.

As stated.... the opening scene is pretty comical.....

Del Toro did well...... can't say the same for anyone else in the film though! I'll stick to my DVD

Openng scene is absolutely fantastic. Movie itself is okay. But that opening is bloody amazing, I laughed my ass off when I first saw it.

The first DVD issue in the US was by Artisan but Lionsgate own it now so I assume they'll be doing the Blu. I watched it again a couple of weeks ago and its still a very good film with a great performance from James Caan (how I'd love to see a fully restored Blu of The Killer Elite and isn't it time we had Rollerball)

I'll definitely be picking up The Way of the Gun. Loved the movie and it has a cracking soundtrack. The gunfire is some of the most realistic I've heard, so here's hoping the BR is a step up from the DVD

Angel Heart is excellent if you like creepy. It's pure 80's horror noir.

I found a copy early at my local BB (LA CA). It was on the cart to be put on the shelf. I haven't watched it yet so can't comment on PQ/AQ but here's some info for those interested:

- rang up at $17.99
- There is no slip cover
- Audio is DTS-HD 7.1
- Audio/Music commentaries
- Cast & Crew interviews

Overall, pretty bare bones release.

YMMV, obviously
