Apply one genre tag to Steven Spielberg's classic. Is it really a no-brainer?

Drama
Horror
or Thriller

Definitely Horror is the main genre, the whole purpose of the film is to scare

It's about a big shark eating people. That makes it a horror film in my book and it's a great one at last.

I never really considered this to be "scary" in an overt way. Fear is part of it, sure, but to me it's the suspense that takes the front stage. And in my book, that makes Jaws a thriller, in all the same ways a Hitchcock film (especially The Birds) would be.

thriller but movies can have more than one genre. Id say thriller, horror, drama, in that order
