Satellite Radio Solution for Receivers not near a south window?

Hi, I got a Sony XM ready Receiver. The wife got satellite in the car and we want to be able to hear it at home. However, the receiver is in the north side of the apartment and I can not really move it to the bedroom which has a south view of the sky.

I got the XM Dock and Antenna for XM Compatible Receivers. The instructions tell you all over the place to make sure to have it pointing south. The box however did not say anything.

Anyone know of any solution or something I could do without running a cable from one side of the apartment to the other.
