Will this version of Red Cliff works - Blu-ray Forum

I'm thinking of getting this version of Red Cliff from Amazon UK

I'm wondering if it works on the Canadian PS3?

If you read the review, it states:

I have also tested both discs on a Region-A PS3. To get to the main menu - so that you could access the film - once the first trailer (which is actually in 1080p) starts, press the green triangle button on your remote/controller and then select forward (120); the PS3 will skip over the PAL trailers and get you to the main menu. From there, one should know what to do. One does not have to follow the same routine on Disc 2. There are no trailers on it.

Looking to pick this up for sometime. Pretty good price too. Only about $20+ CAN after shipping.

Saw these locally for about $55 for each part +tax on Blu.

Glad I passed as this edition has both parts and is dirt cheap, in comparison.

Yep, thats why I said per part. Meaning to own both parts it would cost me $110. What a rip. Which is why I passed on them before.

Don't know where you get $110 from , and the Hong Kong versions are the best IMHO (7.1 audio)

Local store ... not online. They were selling each part for $55. Thus the total for both parts would have been $110. Which is why I said I passed on it. They probably bought them off a site like blu-asia above and then tried to charge more to make a profit.

But Amazon UK is still a much better price for both parts then the link you provided. IMO 2 extra rear audio channels isn't worth $50+. Sorry. Plus, don't those versions have the watermark on them? I know the UK version doesn't.

The watermark is only on part 1 and its in the top corner in the black bar , comes and goes so quick I do not even notice it anymore.

Mine just came in.

Scared the bageebees out of me. I looked at the back and it said region "B"...WTF? So I popped it into the PS3 and prayed. It works!!!!!

Don't forget to pick up Warlords if you liked Red Cliff. I think It's Jet Li's best acting in a movie. It's also dirt cheap for 7.98 pounds.

Just watched mine over the weekend and it was very, very, very good.

Top quality all around too. I guess I will be ordering more from the UK more often. Hell with the present exchange rate, some things are cheaper than through the US right now. Including shipping.
