Lets not get into a homosexual/homophobic fight here ppl. 300 is not a gay porn film, and if you think it has gay aspects to it, so what? It also has a great sex scene between a man and a woman, and more than one actually (sort of).
Lets not get into it on this forum. I understand that you don't like 300 for your own personal reasons, but watch what you say here cause so far you have offended one straight man by saying it.
Also, I have no idea where you get your facts from, but this movie is NOT based on reality or even the history of the Spartans, it is based off a COMIC BOOK that was written by Frank Miller (aka Sin City author), and that is based on legends and mythology surrounding the events, not the facts. It makes no attempt to be based on the facts of history. If you want to go into that, then King Leonidas would die in the very beginning of the battle!

wow... nothing "gay" related ever crossed my mind during this movie. if anything.. it embodies all that is man.

and yes, it was based off the graphic novel. not history.

im going to end it there.. not trying to start an argument.

i'm curious though as to what you consider a "good" movie though...

I'm not buying 300, but not for the reasons of the angry poster above. I didnt think of any homoeroticism whilst watching the movie at all. I thought it was visually nice and had some cool action scenes, but I found the story kind of bland and boring. I'm glad I watched it once, but i have no desire to watch it again.

300 was an excellent experience, but had no substance. Beyond an HD demo reel of a few scenes like the arrows I have no desire to see it again.

hey, i respect the fact you didn't like 300, and you are entitled to your personal opinion thats fine. but you crossed the line with the homosexuality issue. it is one of those things you keep to yourself and not post it here.

How young is your son? Mine is nearly two years and I am not too concerned although I have not seen the movie.

He's 2 1/2 and he really likes the Spiderman flicks, and I'm guessing TMNT is a little tamer, but I'm not sure--haven't seen it either. May have to rent it first

i have seen it, it is okay. nothing like the original movies. don't have high hopes for it so you won't be disappointed. now for your son I think he prolly will like it.
