I wonder if this will have better PQ than the HD DVD. It already has TrueHD over DD+.

I don't think I'd double dip though... BD50?

99% sure it would be a BD50. Japan rarely uses BD25s.

The HD DVD version's PQ was already quite good, Dolby TrueHD is a nice upgrade although I may not double dip since JP titles are so expensive.

I'll be keeping an eye on this... but it makes me wonder, if we have a UK and Japanese release already, how soon should we see a US release?

Maybe when T4 is released on DVD/Blu-ray, you might see it as a tie in.

Amazon.co.jp says June 3rd, hopefully the May 3rd date is actually the right one.

Will definitely be getting this disc though. Lossless + correct aspect ratio (almost definite considering Sony is releasing it) is much better than the UK lossy + open matte.

Well, the back says "ABC" so it appears to be Region Free.
And the PQ/AQ are superb. Recommend this release highly. Proper OAR and a really kick-butt TrueHD track.
I will scan the back and front of the case soon.
