Default Get All Blu-rays A WEEK OR TWO before there release dates

I worked at blockbuster when I was younger and thought it was a fun job and remembered that you get whats called pre streets. My wife wanted a part time job so she got hired at block buster and now.... I get blu rays about two weeks before they come out. Just posted this incase you got a wife or children that are looking for a part time job..... BLOCKBUSTER is the way to go!!!!

Ummm, I'm gonna say no you don't. If you do, take a pic of a blu ray that's not out for a couple of weeks.

If we don't see a pic, it never happened.

Yea people who work at blockbuster do get to view movies before their release dates. I don't know how far in advance though.

With all due respect I've heard nothing but bad experiences working with Blockbuster. There are reasons why people call them Ballbusters.

I hear their employees even tried stabbing themselves to get out of working.

I had a friend with a sister that worked at Blockbuster and she'd always bring home movies 1-2 weeks early, although sometimes the movies didn't come in until right before release date. They usually receive movies that early so they can change the cases and put stickers on the discs and have them ready for release date.

They used to get screeners of upcoming movies that could be played in store, sometimes more than a month before release date. IDK if they still do this though.

They had a text line which scrolled across the bottom saying something like "this is a screener copy of an upcoming release - not for resale."

True story.... When I worked at one we would get a few copies 5-10 of whatever was going to be comming out. I was told so employees whould be up to date on all the movies out. I have seen big hit movies up to 3 weeks befor they hit the street. My dad would love when I would bring home all the new movies early....

I watched Public Enemies yesterday. I hate it when I know how the movie ends. Very good movie though.

even if you're right, and blockbuster gets 100 copies of a film 2 weeks before release, why would they give them away (or sell them) to employees? when they can rake in tons of cash by renting them out?

They're doing Blockbuster a service, someone's gotta test the disc when it comes in right

They dont give my wife the movie to own. They just get shiped to the store a week or two before the release date. And blockbuster lets there employees rent up to five free a month. So she gets the pre streets. If you got kids I would nudge them towards working there if there looking for a pt job. Thats all
