Default Questar Inc. goes Blu

From the latest issue of Home Media Retailing:

Quote:
Questar Inc. is going with Blu-ray for at least three of its titles in the fourth quarter or early 2008, according to Questar chairman Albert Nader.

No street dates have been announced, however the titles include Rudy Maxa's Europe To The Max, The Enchanted Pacific To The Max, and an undetermined PBS "Nature" Series title.

"We've been a Sony customer for about 15 years," Nader said of the high-def product. "We like their technology. We like their service. We don't have anything against (HD-DVD)."

Nader said Questar is making the move because more high-def players will be in the market after the holiday season, and his product - nature series, travel product, picturesque tour productions - fits what the high-def experience is all about.

"A lot of people have said to us that our footage is perfect for showing on their (high-def) systems," he said.
