What was the best black friday deal you ever got? - Blu-ray Forum

Black Friday 2007 i was able to get 3 PS3 controllers at $19.99 each from Amazon (this was when they cost about $50 or $60)

Ive never seen a deal that good again and am kinda disappointed with this year .....

What about the rest of you? whats the best black friday deal you ever got?

Last year a blu-ray player for $128 and a lot of good $10 blus at wal-mart. That $128 player hasnt broken on me yet (knocks on wood) and doesnt need firmware updates. It plays anything just fine.

I like your breaking benjamin avatar by the way. My girlfriend and I are gonna go see them here in Chicago December 14 along with Sick Puppies and Janus. Its gonna be sweet.

Last year, in the buy 10 save $100 Amazon sale, I picked up 10 James Bonds for about $5 each. This sale was stacked upon another special where if you buy two Bonds together, you save another $5 per pair. Seven of the Bonds came with free movie cash to see Quantum of Solace at the theater so I treated my friends out to a New Year's Eve showing. Although I was out of pocket $50, I got roughly $70 worth of QoS.

There were only 6 different 007 titles on that sale, how do you come up w/ 10?

The best SIGNIFICANT black friday deal I got was 3 years ago at CompUSA.

I got a 60" Sony HDTV SXRD for $1499.99 (which was selling for $1999.99 normally at the time)... And also included a free XBox360...

I actually went there just for the TV because the price itself was great... It was only after I got in line 3 hours in advance that someone in line let me know that the deal came with the XBox... Bonus!

Yep, I got in on this one and on the amazon bonds from last year mentioned above. Took all the extra bonds to a trade-in place, got $15 each for them since they were still sealed.

I remember that day. The only bad part was that there wasn't much of a selection of Blu-rays to choose from. I think I sold about 10 PS3's that day.

I still think it was a good deal. Not many people knew about the deal so there wasn't a crazy line. It was also a midnight thing.

Stopped working there two years ago. I had a line of people waiting in the store for that deal because it was one of those 8:00am secret online specials. One guy was lucky enough to get Cars with it.

I had a pretty good selection at the store I bought it at. Die hards, pirates among others. I pretty much grabbed the most popular titles that I could resell or ones I didn't have yet, Sold the extras online. I think I got Cars or Ratatouille also, but I can't remember for sure if I got it with that deal.
