Futureshop VIP In-Store Only Event - Blu-ray Forum

I got an e-mail from Futureshop telling me about a VIP event going on tomorrow at the store. The e-mail was very vague, no clues as to what will be on sale, or no special start/finish times.

The only clickable links in the e-mail were for store locator and the FS homepage.

It is an invitation e-mail but doesn't tell me to print it off and bring it in. Wonder what's up?
Anybody else get this or make any sense of it?

Here's what it says;

ONE DAY EVENT, IN-STORE ONLY! THURSDAY NOVEMBER 26TH

YOU'VE BEEN INVITED TO A SPECIAL SAVINGS EVENT.
TAKE ADVANTAGE OF EXCLUSIVE ONE-DAY OFFERS THROUGHOUT THE STORE.

the last vip i went to had nothing special, there was a draw for somethign but no one won it. it's a trick to come to futureshop.

I got this email too. I remember going to these things before and the sale prices didn't seem that much different than the customer appreciation sale events they have.

It's called sales promotions. They have a new V.P. of marketing for at least a couple months now and this is what she has been up to. All these crappy VIP store events and that disaster clue finding one.

Anyone remember that? It started from 9:00 PM EST every day and there were clues around their website to find the deal and it only lasted five minutes, plus the quantity was ridiculous. It was something like that anyways...

I went into one of these before, and there was no signs up and none of the workers had any idea about it (even though it specifically gave the hours of my local store on the email that I had).

there are no signs advertising this but all blu-rays are 10% off

this includes blu-rays already on sale...

Even if the employee knows nothing about this it should scan at the price right off the bat since i didnt see the person at the counter do anything special (the price came up at the 10% discount automatically).

I picked up Justice League season 1 for 26.99

I totally forgot about this, and went in to pick up an ISPU. It was nuts in there. All of the male employees were in dress shirts and ties, and the females had dresses on...and some of them were like New Years Eve/Downtown dresses. Very interesting. There were people everywhere, so I left.

Lol....yeah i remember that. It was a total disaster. They pulled the plug on the promotion before it even finished.

I was in Futureshop yesterday and noticed the 10% off signs. I bought 5 BD movies and figured I saved pretty close to twenty bucks.
