I presume you mean the Z-5500? If so, the answer is no. It will decode the non-high resolution codecs for both DTS and Dolby, however. Check out the Logitech product spec page: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/sp...s/224&cl=us,en

No. It would need HDMI or 5.1 analog interconnects (although I'm not sure how the mini connectors support it. You would need your BD player to decode and pass the audio vie 5.1 analog outs. I've never seen that connector type.)to be able to pass the HD audio.

while it won't decode the lossless codecs you can connect this cable/adapter to a blu player that supports all lossless codecs onboard with analog out, connect this cable between the player and the logitech, it should work fine. i have the Z-680 system in my basement and use all 3 inputs, analog, coax & optical. the cable supports up to 7.1 so simply don't connect what you don't need. if your logitech supports 7.1 then your in business, if it support 5.1 then your in business, though, i'm not sure about the sub channel but, for the most part it will work. i watch movies all the time in the basement when my main system upstairs is in use and the base sounds great, mind you that is with coax or optical. anyway, for $20+shipping what do you have to lose?

i know it's designed to connect your output of your pc soundcard to your hometheater soundsystem, i suspect it will and should work backwards connecting from a blu player analog into your logitech analog speaker section. again, it's $20 can't go wrong for trying.
