Yes she was and she might have become a much more recognizable star if it wasn't for what is suggested in this obituary in the Daily Mail Jean Simmons: Beauty who said no to Howard Hughes - and sabotaged her Hollywood career | Mail Online. I'm just glad that I managed to get her autograph, along with many of the major actors, who appeared in Spartacus. Hope this movie comes out soon on Blu and includes some of the archived interviews with her.

I’ll have to keep a look out for ‘Guys and Dolls’ its one that I heard about for many years.
