Default Cobrachris's Home Theater

Hello all. I've been a lurker here for awhile and decided its time to post pics of my theater. I've been piecing it together over the last 8 years or so. My most recent purchase is the Pioneer VSX-03TXH receiver and its the best upgrade I've made. Awesome sound!

Here's my equipment list.

Samsung LN52A630
Pioneer Elite VSX-03TXH
Sony BDP-S350 Blu-ray player
Oppo DV-980H DVD/SACD player
Dish Network VIP-622 HD-DVR
Xbox 360
Nintendo Wii
Apple 120GB Ipod Classic
Harmony One

B&W 602 - Front
B&W 303 - Surround
B&W CC6 - Center
SVS 20-39PCi - Subwoofer

Nice and clean.

Have you experimented with toe-in? You may be surprised with the results.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I haven't experimented with toe-in but I'll give it a try. Any tips or tricks I need to know?

Sweet System you have there.
The SVS Sub is Awesome. And any system using B&W Speakers is producing Excellent Sound for Both Movies and Misic.

And I cant say enough for your components. The Oppo DVD/CD/SACD Player is a Great Unit and produces excellent sound with CD's and SACD's.And the Pioneer Elite Line of AVR's are Tremendous performers with an Amazing amount of Features.

The System is First Rate and Looks Incredible.I can Only Imagine what it must be Like Watching a Blu-Ray or listening to a SACD.

Excellent Job in Putting Together Such a Nice System.Congratulations.

For possible suggestions.......

First, something that may or may not help..... try experimenting with different placements for your sub.

Second, Get rid of the plastic blinds over what I would guess are sliding glass doors in the back of the room (same thing my old condo had) and put up heavy velvet curtains for the sound and light.

Either way, it all looks fantastic..... I would probably move my DVD collection to another room, so it's "out of there" and not in plain sight.

Looks great though!

Thanks for the tips, Beta Man. The plastic blinds are covering 2 large windows. I'll look into replacing them with curtains. Excessive light is a major problem in my living room. I have a loft that overlooks the room so my ceilings are very high. Above those 2 large windows are more windows that aren't covered with anything. They are a trapezoid shape and I've had trouble finding anything to cover them with that looks good.

I'm also researching storage options so I can get all of the DVDs out of the room and stored out of sight.

A fellow 600 B&W series user! As well as a VSX-03! Albeit the older B&W line, but I bet they sound gorgeous nonetheless. Well done,

I keep seeing these SVS cylinder subs. Good thing I can resist upgradeitis.
