In the next Harry Potter film, most of the action takes place outside the hallowed halls of Hogwarts Castle.
The seventh, and last, book in J.K. Rowling's series about the boy wizard –Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows– is being broken into two films, the first part coming out next November, the second part in 2011.

The first installment finds young wizards Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson) struggling to find their way in the Muggle (human) world, with their own lives in the balance and the fate of the magical realm in their hands.

"They're paranoid," says Grint. "It's quite a scary world because the Snatchers and Death Eaters are running around everywhere. Harry, Ron and Hermione are just camping out in random places, living rough, in regular clothes." Snatchers and Death Eaters are minions of the evil Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes).

Grint adds, grinning: "Me and Dan actually have some stubble." His facial hair served as a kind of invisibility cloak for the lanky, redheaded Grint, who went unrecognized by fans recently while on location in the Welsh countryside. Dubbed a "road movie" by producer David Heyman, Hallows was envisioned by director David Yates as more grounded in reality than the previous Potter movies.

"It's going to feel very real," Yates says. "We're going for a vérité approach. Being away from Hogwarts, they're like these three refugees on the run. They're out in the big bad world, facing real danger, unguarded by those wonderful benign wizards at Hogwarts. They don't have a home to go to.

"We're kind of pulling away from the magic a bit and bringing more reality to it," he says.

I also heard it's a two part movie, is that true ?

Yes, and the rumored split is at quite the cliffhanger.

Dan is supposedly going to be naked in one scene, but readers of the book would be surprised to learn that it is not the scene in which he would be naked in the book, rather it is an additional scene created for the movie.

Part 1 is Nov 2010 and Part 2 is July 2011

If I remember correctly he doesn't strip all the way, and is wearing a horcrux at the time that he ventures into the pond. I could be mistaken.

Supposedly the scene in the film will be involved with the visions that Ron has while wearing the same horcrux that harry ventures into the pond with.

Actually, nudity doesn't seem appropriate for the Harry Potter movies at all.

Is this new scene somehow important to the plot, or just a way of keeping the movie in the news and stirring up a little controversy?

It affects a decision made by one of the trio. Emma is also in the scene, but the amount of clothing she supposedly wears is not mentioned.

Radcliffe is the only one of the trio with any real talent! Luckily he is the title character so it's not all bad!

Can't wait for the final two movies! Loved the book (but not the ending) Rushed doesn't even begin to describe the final two chapters of the Deathly Hallows!

Wouldn't have worked. The final book was so main-plot heavy that it would have been impossible to fit it into a single feature without drastically altering the basics of the story. The book simply didn't feature as many minor subplots as the previous books did (like the house elf stuff or random classroom scenes). Cutting it down would have proved incredibly difficult, IMO. The 2 film route was the way to go. Plus, it gives them an extra movie to make $$$ on. It just makes sense from both a creative and financial POV.

i could care less about the money standpoint of the last book being 2 movies.

in my opinion....stay 100% faithful to the book, there reall isn't a lot that can be cut out of this movie and still have it make sense.

everything kind of flows from one thing to the next. and by no means take out any of the horcruxes!!!
