Thumbs down Worst disc artwork.

Not sure if this has already been discussed. But like worst cover art...what do you think of the artwork on some of the discs you own.

Universal's discs that contain nothing but a title and a clear disc.

Star Wars the complete saga. The entire box set is a visual disaster.

A blind monkey could have come up with a better design.

Jar Jar Binks should beotch slap George Lucas for approving the artwork and Lucas should be FORCED to inhale at least 1,000 farts from Jabba the Hutt's hot, smelly, turd-encrusted exhaust port.

Warner Brothers international Blu Rays where the discs are absolutely BOMBARDED with age limit signs from countries all over the world... To a point where they removed the titles of the movie. Seriously, they could've at least put a small helvetica 10-12 in size on the small part of the disc that has space. I've noticed that Universal have also started this with their international blu rays.

Even though I don't think they look good exactly, I'll still take the grey Paramount discs over the abominations mentioned above. At least they have the movie's title on the disc with big letters and with the same original font that was used on the movie's promotional posters.

Haha I told my wife the same thing. Hell I draw better than the artwork on the box sets.

Clearly the flipper discs from Universal were the worst considering they had NO artwork!

Personally I'm not a fan of Paramount's baby blue discs...their early blu-ray releases weren't like this. What gives Paramount?!

Seriously? You both independently came up with the bit about the turd-encrusted exhaust port?!?

I think the worst disc artwork goes to the individual Kubrick releases. The Shining, for example, could have had the really iconic

or even

, but instead they went with a smudgy, watercolor-like, rear-angle shot of the kid on his tricycle.

I was really glad they went with something more basic for the box set.

The one I don't like right now is SUPER 8. Its just a blue disc, would have looked nice had they went with the Kodak film yellow/red like they have on the slipcover.

I hate that WB jumped on the plain Blu-ray disc art bandwagon. They used to be reliable for decent disc art but they've now gone the cheap route too. I believe the only major studios left which currently don't do this are Sony and Fox.

Hm... IDK a lot of people hate the plain ones with just writing and a gray or other solid color background but I like them. I'd rather it be something simple and uniform rather than some big photo that you really can't even see because of the hole in the disc and what not.
