Anybody on Pokerstars? - Blu-ray Forum

Last week I was at this small table and I noticed one of the players had the same username from here and asked if he was that dude, sure enough it was.
My username is PinkyPinks

I choose that name so people hopefully could underestimate me, hasn't helped much though...

So now I'm stuck with a ridiculous username... oh well.
Do you have one?

I play the occasional freeroll at pokerstars, most of my serious playing is done at FullTilt. Same username.

Yeah I've been on Poker stars, Full Tilt, and originally Party Poker. I stopped playing online though and only play home games now.

I just thought I'd be funny if it turned out that I had played against more from here.
The one I bumped into had just read my post here... such a weird coincidence

I only do freerolls at the moment and the occasional tourneys at sit & go..

What's the diff between the 3 of them, Party Poker, Full Tilt and PStars?
I thought there were many more of us...

Party Poker is no longer available to US customers

Full Tilt is known for its cash games while PStars has some great tourneys.

I personally like the PStar's software myself

I used to play on pokerstars a lot. Ran out of all the free time, but now that I'm reminded of it I might try to get in a tourney.

Well in the US, it's a bit complicated. A few years ago our president signed the Safe Port Act, which was a national security thing, but tucked away in that bill was the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, which made it illegal for banks, credit card companies, PayPal, etc. to transfer money to online casinos, and vice versa.

FullTilt and Poker Stars have a gung ho attitude, and believe that they're fine, because they feel poker is a game of skill, not gambling, so they're not an online casino.

The UIGEA might be repealed, but in the meantime Full Tilt and PStars are carrying on anyway. Others, like PartyPoker, decided to stop allowing US players to play for real money, though they are owned by PartyGaming, which runs a handful of gambling sites, so they probably felt they were in a different situation.

I used to play on PokerStars, but now I just host my own weekly home game. Much more fun to me, since I never really looked at it as more than a hobby.

i havent played in a long time, but ive been thinking about getting back on, i used to play on stars, but for some reason i wasnt able to deposit there for awhile, before the law was passed and everything, and i never figured it out, so i just went to full tilt and play there, which i like better now, since i can play razz there, which last time i was on stars, they didnt play
