Complete English soundtrack exists for the longer version so how about including it?

Last time this was talked about (when Eureka was going to release a Blu-Ray of the film) the result was no Blu-Ray at all and the DVD came without the English soundtrack.

Assuming transfer is up to snuff, Kino will be taking more of my money.

What are they thinking by doing this? Isn't the Italian version the original one? Wouldn't it make more sens to include it in HD and put the cut down, dumbed down English version in SD (or simply recreate it in HD from the Italian source, if some people want it so bad)?

I guess I'll pass this one up. Too bad, as it was one I was eagerly waiting for.

Kino releases in general score 3 - 3.5 on PQ in reviews. Don't understand people can be that excited, if new releases are announced.

Apart from shitting out decade-old masters, they have some serious encoding problems. Hopefully a UK distributor will do this one proper.

Eureka/MoC have the UK rights for this - they were going to do BD initially, but decided against it because they did not think the materials were suitable for BD; they released on SD instead.

A German label did a dvd which is apparently superior - maybe they are the best hope on this one.

Damn, it was on my wish list until I saw the bit about extended cut is only in SD, wtf!

Guess I'll just hold onto my Koch PAL disc until I can import something proper.

I never watched Face to Face. Is the extended cut essential? I think that Kino did quite well on their Sabata release. So maybe there's still hope for a decent transfer of the english 93 minute version?

I was all set to pre-order this one but they dropped the ball hard on the original international cut being in SD. I'll wait until i can find a really good price on it.
