United Kingdom Meet The Parents + Meet The Fockers + Little Fockers

Little Fockers Blu-ray

Triple Fockers Blu-ray

All due for release on Blu-ray in the UK on the 18th/April/2011.

Email I sent to Paramount:
Quote:
Hi
When will Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers get a UK Blu-ray release?

Thanks
Reply I received today:
Quote:
Hi,

Paramount Home Entertainment will be releasing the triple (DVD & BD) with Little Fockers as well when they release Little Fockers on 18th April but no plans as yet to release the double on BD.

Hope that helps
And reading the reply, I believe it means both Meet The Parents and Meet The Fockers will be available in a trilogy boxset on Blu-ray and DVD with the new Little Fockers film aswell, whilst Little Fockers will also be getting a seperate normal release.
But at the moment, no plans to seperately release the first two.

I have the first two on US import and am pleased with them both transfer wise.

Little Fockers is surposed to be a terrible film though which is a shame as i loved the Meet the Parents & Fockers.

I saw Little Fockers last night, it was by far the worst of the 3 but it's worth watching, there are still some funny moments. If nothing else, it's worth watching for the end credits sequence, which was hilarious!

I like Meet The Parents a lot, for me it's hilarious, one of Stillers best movies. Meet The Fockers is only just above average Comedy for me though. Haven't seen the new one at all.

Completely agree! I will pick up this 3 pack, though! Will keep my eyes open for a pre-order announcement. I didn't realise that Paramount had the UK rights. It is Universal in the USA, isn't it?

Maybe we will get different transfers.

I've seen all 3, watched Little Fockers at the cinema, I must say, I enjoyed it more the Fockers! I mean the series will never live up to the first one, but I quite enjoyed Little Fockers, wasn't great.

I will probably pick up the box set!

I find it quite annoying that the title has "Meet the Parent" before it, as to benefit to the ignorant public who do not have a clue! I mean it is pretty obvious that it is a sequel to Parents, Fockers! It just looks silly, and shows that people can't be bothered to run a brief check on a film if they are intending to go watch it.

Agreed, I believe it was also advertised as 'Meet the Parents: Little Fockers' for the UK cinema release aswell.

Im waiting and hoping we still get a 'Fockers Trilogy' boxset, like the email I got back from Paramount said.

If they get individual releases, I'll definitely get the first two. I loved Meet the Parents, and Fockers was entertaining but not nearly as good as the first. Haven't seen the third one yet.

Yes it was! On the TV adverts it would say, "Meet the Parents: Little Fockers, in cinemas..."

Am also hoping for a trilogy box set!

I thought Little Fockers was good. Especially the remix at the end haha. I think you are reading into the email too much personally, I think they are saying that there will be two versions of Little Fockers, a double play and a triple play. Sorry to dampen yours hopes, I would like the Trilogy too!

I think you are right - no sign of the first 2 on any release schedules. I thought Universal own The rights, not Paramount anyway?!

Yer I know it sucks. I think it may be a case like the Die Hard films, different companies have somehow ended up with rights to the different films, and they therefore won't release them altogether here. Don't take this as correct info, I could be wrong, it is just my guess. I'm still waiting on loads of releases...Ong Bak, The Aviator, Die Hard 3, The Illusionist, The Village...etc...etc

Well it says here that Meet the Parents/Fockers is distributed by 'DreamWorks Live Action', and isnt DreamWorks basicly Paramount?
They use to be distributed by Universal by the looks of it (wish they still were).

So I dont see any reason as to why they wouldnt/wont release the first two with the new one, it would make perfect sense surely?
