Kim Peek, 58, died of a heart attack this past Saturday. He was the inspiration for Dustin Hoffman's character in Rain Man.

My mom has worked with special education children, with a focus on the autistic, for more than 20 years. Just a few days ago cnn reported that 1 in 110 children are born with autism. It is a disease that is becoming more and more prevalent with no cure in sight.
