Default Onkyo HT-RC160 vs. TX-SR607

What are the major differences between these two receivers and do you think they justify the price difference between the two?

1. Extra Front HDMI Port
2. More wpc(90 vs 80)
3. HD Radio support

I think those are all.

Worth it? Depends on if you plan on using HD Radio, otherwise RC160 is a better buy imo.

ak_ka had it pretty much spot on except for #3

The TX-SR607 has:

1. Extra Front HDMI Port
2. More wpc(90 vs 80)
3. Sirius Satellite Radio support

Other than that, both are essentially the same.

BOTH models are HD Radio ready.

For a full comparison just goto http://www.us.onkyo.com/prod_class.cfm?class=Receiver click the two models in question and click compare.

The front HDMI port is nice if you have an HD Camcorder, which I do. But yeah, for the price, I'm leaning towards the HT-RC160, as I don't really have a need for Satellite Radio.

Good Luck.

I was just about to ask the same question as the OP, good thing I stumbled upon this thread! Well I ordered the HT-RC160, that'll do for my small place.
