Member sending out spam PM's - Blu-ray Forum

I'm not sure if I've been the only one that has received a PM from a member named "bobcat", but he sent me a spam message to a porn website. Anyone else been sent one from him?

yes, it has been going on lately.

If anyone gets a message from someone they do not know or trust, do not open it. It contains a virus.

You can get a virus from checking your PM ?

I got a spam PM too and didn't expect spam so when the forum said 1 unread mail I just clicked that.

I don't think I downloaded anything and didn't follow any links from the PM.

not from checking your PM box, but the message within contains a possible virus.

Yes don't click on the links , it might dowmload a disc image to your HD.

If you get PMs like that, delete and tell.

I got one advertising "unsensored youtube".

I deleted it without reading.

I believe some members have done so and now they're botting out PMs as well.

If you've been banned and you can't figure out why, and you clicked on one of those links run a full virus scan. Once you know you're clean you should contact us so we can re-enable your account

Mine was sent by 'bmargot' with the content shown in the picture in post #13, subject line was "Famouse websites in uncenzored version". This is a screenshot of how the email informing me about the pm looked, you can't click on the links here.

The picture has a .pdf extension?

Seems the spammer manages to change the username or has a lot of accounts.

Don't click any links, just report the user account/forward the PM and we'll ban asap.
