United Kingdom Harry Potter re-released in June

I found these new versions on Amazon listed for June. Do you think there will be any improvement over previous editions? Personally, I think it's just the same packaging with slightly different covers. It doesn't make any sense, why are they releasing it again? It's not like they've changed the covers that much to justify another double dip before the sixth movie comes out, basically just the logo, everything else is the same.
Here are the links:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Harry-Potter...1734129&sr=1-8

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Harry-Potter...1734129&sr=1-9

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Harry-Potter...734129&sr=1-11

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Harry-Potter...734129&sr=1-10

I hope they don't plan to discontinue previous editions because I still have to buy the first three movies and I like the old covers style more, don't want to mix them up with new ones.

I have all 5 movies and won't double-dip just for a cover (even though I prefer this new cover a tad over the old ones). As far as I can tell, these are the same editions as the ones we already have but it'll be worth to look further into this as not much seems to be known about these releases so far.

Well most likely part 6 & 7 will have this style box.

So if you don't own them yet and want matching boxes I would buy these.

i too own them all on blu ray already, the covers are cool but i agree not worth a double dip. Maby if someone does buy them would be kind enough to scan them?

Yeah, I would also gladly take a scan from someone, print it and put replace the existing covers, especially if future HP movies will continue with this style of cover.

Now if they had any sense, if the final films do come out with that style sleeve, they'd do double sided sleeves so that the people who got the originals can match the existing ones if they wanted to. MGM did that with Die Another Day on DVD so it could be a stand alone or complete the end of the 007 gun logo if you had the others.

The problem is that they can easily release them all over again with different covers before the last movie comes out in 2011 so it wouldn't match the rest of the set anyway. The only way to be sure you have a matching set is to wait for inevitable box set containing all the movies.

I have to say - this is the very reason i've decided to hold off on the blu's until the final movie is out... i'm convinced there will be an awesome boxset

However, I've always found Warner customer services to be pretty good, going all the way back to the start of the dvd era... and i wouldn't be suprised if people with older covers could request the new covers via post.

That was my very idea.

I stayed on the bench for this collection, so glad I did now. Only shame is that they have not released a box that will seat the other 2 when they are released.

I honestly think the new covers (in the left column) although not much different at first glance, DO look a lot better - I particularly like how the 'Year Number' has become part of the main design, and the overall effect from the redesign does make them 'feel' more like a volume of books now

I imagine this will be the 'final' design until the end of the series now.

I don't like that the new movies will most likely not fit my current covers. I like covers of series to be consistent.

I do like the re-design, very clean and neat. I just hope they feel that they have come to a design they can stick too. Has anybody noticed that the BBFC certificate logos are sometimes stretched on the spines of WB blus??

I prefer the older covers. The new ones look a bit cheesey to me, especailly the 'Year X' numbering. Is that just incase you forget which order they run in? :P

The background banner behind the text covers up half the artwork too.
