Request for sticky thread - Everything you need to know about 3-D

Hi guys!

I have noticed many many threads pop up lately regarding 3D / 3D blu-ray / 3DTV etc and I was wondering would it be possible to have a thread which covers the lot. I was thinking "Your guide to 3D.." or something along those lines outlining exactly what one needs for 3D ie player upgrade, tv upgrade, cables, glasses etc

The first post should give run down on what 3D is..a glossary of terms.. and how our tv's and blu-ray players will be affected, what is available now, what will be available soon, prices etc etc...

I dont have the knowledge myself to do it so I was hoping a mod would come forward to do it or indeed one of the many knowledgeable members among us, such as Jimmy Smith. (I have read many of his posts on this topics and it appears Jimmy certainly knows his stuff!)

I am aware there is a 3D discussion thread but I counted several threads with "3D" in the title today.

Also, it doesnt help that you cannot search for "3D" or "3-D" as I assume they are too short and the search word should be longer?

Just a thought as I'm sure people are sick of seeing threads with the same content and same questions. Ideally the thread would cover everything you need to know about 3D. I think it would be an excellent reference thread for everyone here.
