predators blu ray REGION LOCKED - Blu-ray Forum

Just found out from dvdworldusa that Predators is region locked, it is also the unrated edition far as i am aware and we brits are getting the 15 edition.

So that means that The A Team will be locked also, hope we do get the USA versions of both films.

Just because the US edition is unrated doesnt mean it wont have the same material as our 15 version. US censors are notoriously conservative and their theatrical release may have had cuts where ours didnt.

If you have any source for the info, that would be helpful

Like i said in the US thread, dvdworldusa write a load of bollocks alot of the time and it wouldn't be the first time their info was wrong.

Movietyme are also saying that its Locked. Apocalypse Now isn't tho.

Didn't mean the region coding, it was regarding their info about it being R rated.

Yeah, I just saw this too - it's the phrasing (and spelling) that rings the warning bells as it states:

Fair enough for the embossed slipcover, but most R-Rated films these days get 15 Certificates (if trying to do direct comparison, an 18 is more restrictive than NC-17!) with only very rarely there being cuts or pre-cuts. The BBFC haven't reported any cuts or pre-cuts by studio and the running time on the theatrical version matches that described on DVDWorldUSA's site!

IMDB doesn't show any alternate versions either - the only place I can find any reference is the DVDWorldUSA site. Does anyone else know any more about this please?

Well if you're hoping for a studio to make a movie region free FOX aint it.
