Default Are Polk Speakers Directional?

Do the Polk's have to be angled at the listener? I have the Monitor series.

you may want to play with them and see what works best, toe'ing them in or straight on. Best to think like this the distance they are apart is the distance you should be sitting away from them.... if you sit further back then that, spread them out and see how that works, and look into toe-ing them in too.... you will probably have to experiment because each room has different acoustics.

All speakers are directional in the traditional sense. Drivers should face the listener, and some will have a wider dispersal than others- ie some may need to be toed-in.

Omnidirectional or bipolar/dipolar arrays are much more open and have a lot more dispersal, but even so they're still relying on the same old drivers in directional speakers. They just have them facing more than one direction.

IE, try toeing in your speakers at the listening area, as well as try moving them out wider. Eventually you're going to find the sound you like. There's lots of good stickies on the positioning of speakers.

They are currently toed in. I have a pretty wide listening area. Just checking.

Aramis...

Not all Polk speakers are meant to be toed in. Polk SDA's for example, are supposed to be facing directly forward. The Monitor series, however, should be toed in to angle toward the listener. You may have to experiment to find the sweet spot. Good luck.
