Default How to tell if your coming close to maxing out your sub.

Hi all I just got my HD15 working and it's awesome. But I have to wonder from my experience with the RW12 if I'm coming close to maxing it out or not. wihtout using an SPL meter how do I find out if there is even a way. my setup is in my signature.
please help.

how high up is the gain knob on your sub, and is the gain turned up on your receiver too?

I have the Sub10 and have put it through its paces and not heard it distort at all.

I have the gain at about I'd say..... around 40-45% and the reciever menu.....I think I remeber seeing it at 8db's I think.

WOW, I have my gain in the receiver at +1.5 and the back of the sub at just slightly over 50%....... say 55%

I think you should reduce the gain in the receiver to about +2 and the back to about 50%, that should help you out. Then if you need more or less.... adjust slowly on the back of the sub first

50% i would say is max, turning it up anymore after that your not getting much more volume but you will start introducing distortion into the speaker, this will start to damage the speaker and will fail over a short period of time.
