I believe VCI's new Buck Rogers 70th Anniversary Edition DVD is from a new HD remaster, so that's a possible candidate for a future Blu-Ray.

VCI is the only company who can AFFORD Blu-ray--
Unfortunately most of the classics (Captain Marvel, Flash Gordon, Commando Cody, Red Triangle, etc.) are owned by cheaper public domain companies who never heard of restoration in their lives.
Maybe Image owns a few (they both have a print of "Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe"), but those are about it, barring the usual name-only Blu-ray PD up-port.
