Hello I am a fan of Dr Who and Torchwood and love them, but I have never watched this show before as I live in Australia and I don't remember seeing it on tv here anyway, i want to watch it and was wondering if it is good and is there going to be a collection of the series like there is with the dvd version.

The Sarah Janes Adventures (SJA) are good. Not sure who much of DW you have watched, but Sarah Jane was a companion of the 3rd and 4th Doctors from the classic series and has since then had special appearances on the show such as the 5 doctors, k9 and friends, she has also been in the new series as well starting from School Reunion episode and has appeared in some later DW epsiodes as well.
SJA is shown on Childrens TV , so is not adult story themed like Torchwood but it is good and the stories and supporting actors are all fun to watch.
Basically if you like DW then there is no reason why you would not like this.
For the UK market , all 5 seasons have been released as DVD boxsets, with season 4 & 5 released on Bluray as well.

Unfortunately Elizabeth Sladen (who plays SJ) died last year so they won't be making anymore.

I'm not sure if there will be a complete BD collection I think from 2007-2008 the show was SD only. I think it was a great show badly scheduled by the BBC (a great success in spite of that). It probably would have done quite well in Doctor Who's Saturday slot (Merlin's first few series were similar in tone).
