Default 3D this summer, Sony and Mitsubishi the same tech?

hey,
i have been trying to look around for info on the new Sony 3D ready LCD's that are coming out this summer, if it is the same 3D tech that Mitsubishi already has on their DLP's already. Anyone know if its the same or different?

I am no expert on this but since no one else has chimed in I will offer my two cents. Since the HDMI1.4 standard was finally agreed upon recently I would think the new Sony TVs should employ that interface but since the earlier 3D ready TVs didn't have a firm standard to work with they might not be as compliant. In the end the differences might be trivial but if I were in the market for a new TV I think the HDMI specification would be a big factor in the decision process. If none of the TVs are 1.4 compliant then it probably doesn't matter much. And to be sure the HDMI 1.4 is more about the interface electronics than the cable itself, I think for the cable the primary difference is the addition of some leads for carrying IP traffic, which, how that is implemented should be interesting.
