problem setting up 5.1 with S501 - Blu-ray Forum

Hey there folks I'm new to the forums, so here is my first question: I just got the S501. I use the optical audio to my Onkyo receiver. The receiver won't display Dolby Digital EX, rather PlxII Movie. I went to set up in the disc menu and selected 5.1. Any clue?

which onkyo reciever? how are you outputting the s501? (onkyo dv-s501 correct?)

you need to provide more detail for anyone to remotely help you out.
