GameStop to bundle PS3 with free Advent Children Blu-ray

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete, the long awaited Blu-ray extended cut of the 2006 movie, releases next week. You should definitely check out our review if you haven't decided to pick it up yet. If you're planning on purchasing a PS3 at GameStop next week, though, you may not have a choice in the matter. The retailer has confirmed to Joystiq that it has received shipments of Advent Children Complete which employees are to bundle with 80GB PS3s at no extra charge.

This bundle will only be available temporarily, we're told. The film just happens to release on June 2, which is the same day as Sony's E3 press conference -- so there's a chance this is a bullet point on SCEA prez Jack Tretton's speech notes. For those of you who saw Advent Children Complete's release as a reason to pick up a PS3, this is an offer you can't refuse

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Announced for June

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that they will bring 'Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete' to Blu-ray on June 7th. Video will be presented in 1.78:1 1080p AVC accompanied by both English and Japanese Dolby TrueHD 5.1 soundtracks. Additionally, English subtitles will be available for those who which to watch the film using the original Japanese soundtrack.
