I am looking for some advice on how to get BD surround sound on my big screen setup. I have the system mentioned in the title, which is made mainly for DVD and Cable sound. I should start by saying I have a standard def 55" rear projection Toshiba TV which the system is hooked to. It has only Optical Digital Audio in and Composite Audio in. You can check its support page at http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-e...model.SC-PT960 When I move the BD player over to that TV I use Composite Audio which I can only get sim. surround out of, so I would think I should use Optical, which I will purchase very soon, my main question is...... Are there any BD audio formats that will not work in my System? What about bitstream decoding? Audio isn't my strong point so try and keep things simple, I know formats like DTS and what-not, but my concern is compatablility.... All help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.
