Default Is it possible to watch movies from a Flash Drive or External Harddrive w/ this setup
TV: Sony KDL-40S4100
Blu-Ray: Sony BDP-S350

I've tried two different external harddrives and 1 flash drive into the usb port of the s350 and it doesn't seem to be working. I hate buying new blank dvd's all the time. can anyone recommend an alternative?

would something like this be what im looking for?

for example, would I connect an external hard drive to the item above, and an hdmi cord from that into the tv? would that work?
