Not sure where this goes so please feel free to move it.
I setup my new computer and I had not problems restoring my iTunes stuff. However, Windows Media Player files such as Pandorum and The Grinch are not playing. The video files moved over just fine. However, I have no clue where to find the darn license files. What else do I need to move over to fix this? Much appreciated. |

You can try to redownload the license files from Windows Media player.
Here is the Microsoft Support Page on how to do it. |

Are you basically saying you're needing to enter the key to re-access the videos and that of course doesn't work since it's already been activated once?
For me (namely because I didn't know what files I had to drag along with the video), when I upgraded from WinXP to Win7 and lost all of my saved license info, I simply sent emails to the respective studios for each of my digital copies, politely explained the situation and within a few days they either reset the codes so I could use them again or sent me a new one. Might take a little longer than dragging the right files over (if there is such a thing), but it's worth a shot ![]() If you do choose to go this route, the website for each studio should be listed at the bottom of the digital copy license key insert included with each bluray. Through the websites simply locate the email/contact us/help link and you're all set. Last edited by Sussudio; 02-13-2010 at 12:12 AM. |

I'm about to have the same problem myself soon LOL :-D Might as well start emailing studios then... Damn... I hate this DRM crap! There's no way to remove it perm if you have the Key already entered? :-( I don't know why they do this in WMP 11. :-(

This is why I've started downloading them through Itunes...I believe you can use the license on up to 5 computers
![]() Of course, if you don't have iTunes or want to put the video on an mp3 player other than an iPod, I guess there aren't many other options. |

I LOVE iTunes. It has DRM on the movies but I don't have to jump through hoops to back/restore my files. Just backup, install on new computer, authorize account, copy over files - done.
I HATE WMP. Pure junk. Unfortunately, the two WMP files I have only came with that option. No iTunes option. |

Oddly enough - Pandorum installed and copied the digital copy over as if I never did it before. I am not sure if it's unlimited like that or a fluke but no issues.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas on the other hand, stated my code had been used. So I emailed WB and hopefully they will reset the code or give me a new one. ![]() |
