I played the first two unreal tourment gaes and liked them.

With KB and mouse support it should make for some tough deathmatches.

KBM is the only way to go for fast paced, twitch FPS's like these IMO.

sorry to hear that. I found ut2004 to be the best out of the whole series. Onslaught was a perfect gametype imho.

Since the original UT everything has felt weightless to me, the character you play, the vehicles and even the weapons don't pack a punch like I'd expect.

They sortof Quake 3 Arena floatified everything and I don't think a quick game necessarily has to feel like that.

Epic said they're putting alot more effort into the single player experience with this one. Which is good. I like killing online as much as the next person, but it gets boring.

I really enjoyed the original UT but i definately believe they improved on it big time. 2003 had its issues and quite frankly should never had come out. 2004 was the version that 2003 was supposed to be. I fealt the balancing in original UT was bullshit. the ability to spam the translocator really made ctf impossible unless it was removed. The new gametypes (double domination and onslaught) factored in with the graphical improvements made 2004 the best version of the game so far imo.

the single player aspect of this game is really just practice for online! I wish they had an option to set virtual lag so you could get your timing right so that you are all set going on a 100ping server.

Yep. The campaign is first and foremost in games for me...that's how they wrecked Halo 2..by putting their focus into on-line and not the campaign levels and story.

RFOM got just about everything right. Quite remarkable.

It looked good so far, but all I've seen is the trailer that was up on xbox live.

And it was pretty horribly edited. The initial sequence was cool but after that the clips fly by so fast , you can't even tell how it looks. I'm sure it was fantastic but you can't focus on one thing for more than a millisecond!

I forget what the new gametype is called, but it will blend assault and onslaught in one neat little gametype package.

I wish it would still have onslaught. Part of the reason it was so popular, was its ease of use. People could figure it out real easy. It was a very user friendly gametype.

^^ You folks are forgetting one beautiful word: MODS.

The PC folks will probably benefit from that first but I wouldn't be at all surprised if the best mods end up on some kind of PS3 download situation like we see for the Elder Scrolls IV game and so forth.

So don't give up all hope on the kinds of game modes you may want that aren't "officially" put in the game.
